F.T. Palgrave

‘Who is man, and what his place
Anxious asks the heart, perplext
In this recklessness of space,
Worlds with worlds thus intermixt:
What has he, this atom creature,
In the infinitude of Nature?’

F.T. Palgrave (1824-97) was an english poet and critic. I thought I’d start with one of my favourites! I don’t know the original source; Alfred Russel Wallace quoted it in one of his books.
